Day 2

A person I've been closest with the longest.

Jenny and I have been best friends since Elementary School! The first time I met her she had just moved to Alaska with her family from Georgia. Here was this little girly girl with the biggest pink bow in her hair and somehow we became the best of friends. Spent 4 hours a day together doing gymnastics and when we weren't together we were calling each other. I believe freshman year of highschool was when she moved back to Georgia where I went to visit her for a couple weeks then we stopped talking for awhile. We were in two different places in our lives I guess. But we reconnected when she told me she was getting married and wanted me to be at her wedding. Hopefully Derrick and I's next duty station will be in Georgia so we'll get to hang out with her and her husband!

Big Girl!

The last few weeks Taylee has been reaching for everything! I read that when your baby starts to show interest in your food then you should introduce them to baby food. So we are on day 3 of her eating rice cereal and she LOVES it!

My armless baby :) We have to hold her arms down otherwise they'll go right into her food.

She's eating so well!! She doesn't spit any out or even make a face! I tried it and I have to say it's not the best tasting food, but she seems to enjoy it and that's all that matters.

All done!! Here's Taylee with her messy face (it's hard to tell but she has the cereal all the way up to her nose) I'm such a beginner at this, haha.

The aftermath. As you can see there's not much left in her bowl. I'm so proud of her, I can't believe how big she's getting. Next on the "to do" list is crawling!

Little Monkey Butt

We're baaaaaaack!! I finally found my camera and I have some free time so we'll be blogging a lot more often now!! These are just a few photos of Taylee in her new Monkey outfits! Ever since she was a teeny tiny baby Derrick has always called her his "monkey" or "monkey butt". He even put her to sleep one night with his own monkey butt song :) It was adorable. So GG (Grandma Gail) and I thought daddy would love seeing her in these adorable clothes.

Crazy Hawaiian Trees

I absolutely love the variety of tree's here in Hawaii. These are definitely my top 2 favorites. I've never seen a rainbow colored tree trunk, thought it was so awesome! It's actually called a Rainbow Eucalyptus Tree. The other one is a Ficus Banyan tree where the roots grow downward from the branches, pretty cool!
